Management Staff

The staff of Rocky Mountain Custom Landscapes includes five superintendents that have the combined experience of over 55 years. They have a solid reputation for keeping both the customer and their management informed on all aspects of their scope of work. They share the owner's goals of quality and attention to detail while ensuring that their staff is working at optimal performance levels.

Irrigation Technician Supervisor: Sean Bradbury has a broad range of experience in the landscape industry. He has over 16 years experience, including 11 years in landscape installation and maintenance and 5 years in golf course maintenance. For the past 5 years, he has focused on the irrigation aspects of landscaping. His education includes studying landscape design and construction at Colorado State University and Northeastern Junior College. Mr. Bradbury is Landscape Industry Certified (CLT).

Vail Maintenance Manager : Billie Askins has 14 years experience in the landscape industry. Mrs. Askins has extensive experience in flower design and garden maintenance. She has attained her certification as a Colorado Gardener by completing the Colorado Master Gardener program. Billie's favorite part of her job is working with her clients to design a garden that will give them great pleasure and then to see the garden mature and develop over the years.

Senior Project Manager: Steve Bjurstrom graduated with a degree in landscape horticulture, and has been actively involved in the horticultural industry for the past 20 years. In the last 15 years, Steve has immersed himself in landscape construction. He is fully aware of all the steps required to accomplish a finished project that both he and the end recipient can be proud of. His last few years have been spent overseeing the management of such landscape construction installations as sizeable commercial project, high-end homes, reclamation projects, streetscapes, etc. Prior to making his move to Colorado, Steve was affiliated with two of the largest mail order nurseries in the nation. While there he gained valuable expertise in the wide range of plant materials available and their appropriate uses. Steve has a passion for native plants and loves to create landscapes that mimic nature. Client satisfaction is at the top of Steve's priority list. Effective communication and efficiency will create a great client/company relationship for long-term achievement of goals. Steve is also involved in the Colorado Nurseryman's Association and Associated Landscape Constractors of Colorado.

Project Manager: Chris Moran graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture, specializing in Landscape Design. He has over 14 years experience in the landscape industry, including landscape design, drafting, and project management. Chris takes pride in transforming 2-dimensional design plans and creating working/living outdoor spaces for the clients' enjoyment.

Vail Construction Supervisor: Roberto Guerra has 12 years experience in the landscape industry. Mr. Guerra is bilingual and leads a very efficient team. He is always available to answer questions while on his job sites. Mr. Guerra has extensive experience in all aspects of landscape construction and continues his education via various certification classes.

Company Controller: Donna Yoder has worked as an independent accountant for the last 11 years. Before that she spent 10 years working her way up the accounting ladder at several large, service corporations. She attended Michigan State University and graduated with highest honors. Her experience is extensive and ranges from dealing with auditing firms to servicing the clients. Her favorite part of her job is helping others, whether that be researching a charge, analyzing and interpreting numbers, or passing along the non-accounting needs of a client to a manager. In the Summer of 2008, Donna passed the FINRA Series 6 test, a national test administered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (formerly the Nat'l Assoc of Securities Dealers), which enables her to sell financial products tied to the stock market such as IRA's, Roth IRA's, variable annuities, and variable life insurance policies.
